Hispania Racing have today announced that they have a new majority shareholder with aims of optimising and improving the performance of the struggling team.
Thesan Captial, an investment company, have acquired a significant stake in the team with the objective of ‘maintaining the current team [and] to develop its strategy to grow in a market with a lot of potential in upcoming years.’
The Spanish investment group will maintain the current team and directors and will try to ‘develop and search for opportunities to optimize and improve the performance of the team in the upcoming seasons.’
It also aims to make the team ‘more Spanish’ and settle the team in Spain.
