Loeb Tests Chevrolet WTCC Car At Rockingham

1 Mins read

Seven-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb tested Chevrolet‘s World Touring Car Championship challenger at Rockingham yesterday (Friday).

According to French website ToileF1.com, Loeb drove the Chevrolet Cruze of Yvan Muller, reigning WTCC champion and fellow resident of the Alsace region of France.

Loeb is reported to be considering his options for the future, with negotiations with Citroen over 2012 believed to be stalling. It has been widely speculated that he would make the switch to circuit racing at some point, having contested the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past with Pescarolo as well as taking part in selected GT races with Porsches. Should Loeb decide to remain in rallying, he could be lured by Volkswagen who will enter the WRC in 2013.

Muller has previously dipped his toes into the water in rallying, contesting his home round of the WRC in a Citroen Xsara last year.
