
The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Will Be A Feeder Series For The Porsche Carrera Cup GB
Porsche have announced details for the 2012 GT3 Cup Challenge, which run in co-operation with the BARC and consistent of a six weekend, twelve race season, using older 911 GT3 Cup race cars.
Managed and promoted by Porsche Cars GB, the GT3 Cup Challenge will be open to any 911 GT3 Cup Car race car from the 2009 model year or earlier. It is designed to be a stepping stone for drivers aiming to move up to the Carrera Cup GB from trackdays and the season finale of the 2012 season will see it join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in support of the BTCC at Silverstone. It will also share the annual Test and Media Day and end-of-season Awards night with the Carrera Cup GB.
