Sahara Force India have announced a new partner on the eve of the 2012 Formula One curtain raiser with Internap joining as its official supplier of web hosting and content delivery network services.

Based in the United States, Internap provide intelligent IT infrastructure services and will assist Force India in the hosting and delivering of content on their official website. This will include high-definition images, videos, live streaming and social media.

Dr. Vijay Mallya, Team Principal and Managing Director of Sahara Force India, believes the new partnership will allow the team to be closer to fans across the world.

“Growing our brand and our international fan base requires that we build a strong web presence. But the global nature of our sport means that this presence is always on the move, so our fans need to be able to follow us whether they are at the track or on the other side of the world. Thanks to Internap's hosting solutions and 100% uptime service level guarantee, we can seamlessly interact with our fans wherever they are and whenever they want.”

Eric Cooney, President and Chief Executive Officer at Internap, is delighted to be involved in Formula One and feels it is the perfect platform to boost his and Force India's brand.

“Working with Sahara Force India is the perfect showcase for the benefits of our global, performance-centric managed hosting and connectivity services, especially given the mass popularity of Formula One racing and the international nature of its races and fan base. Like Sahara Force India, we stake our reputation on performance – we are both aiming to be the fastest to our destination and cannot afford to lose even a fraction of a second.”
