Rory Butcher was the fastest driver in Porsche Carrera Cup GB testing at a soaking Oulton Park ahead of the fourth weekend of the season.
The afternoon session was interrupted when Daniel Lloyd went off at Lodge. Barrier repairs meant that there was only five minutes remaining, so an additional 90 minute session was laid on for the teams later in the day.
Celtic Speed driver Butcher, who scored a double podium finish last time out at Thruxton and lies seventh in the standings, set a fastest time of 1m32.782s during the morning.
He was exactly two tenths quicker than Lithuanian Jonas Gelzinis, who is currently second in the points. Lloyd posted the third fastest time before his off. The only damage to the car was cosmetic, allowing him to rejoin the action in the later additional session.
Championship leader Michael Meadows was fourth, narrowly ahead of Redline Racing teammate Glynn Geddie, with the Team Parker Racing duo of Sam Tordoff and Richard Plant next up.
Ahmad Al Harthy headed Pro-Am1 in eighth overall, four tenths ahead of his nearest rival in the class, Victor Jimenez.
In Pro-Am2, Tautvydas Barstys outpaced Will Goff, with both looking to capitalise on Tania Mann's absence this weekend.
