Pecom Racing Fourth In LMP2 At Silverstone

1 Mins read

Pecom Racing enjoyed a strong run in the Silverstone six hours last weekend. The Argentinian team finished fourth out of sixteen cars that were entered for the increasingly competitive LMP2 field.

The Oreca Nissan was driven by the regular trio of Luis Perez-Companc, Pierre Kaffer and Soheil Ayari showed good speed through the event and their efforts were  rewarded with a fourth place finish.

Kaffer made a good start to the race, improving from seventh on the grid to fourth. Despite losing time in the second hour due to a spin, and a close race with the #42 Greaves Motorsport Zytek, they were able to remain in fourth position at the end of the race. It follows a podium finish the team enjoyed at this year’s Le Mans 24 hours.

The result was important for the team’s aspirations in the LMP2 points standings and is currently in third position. They will be looking to improve with only four rounds of this year’s World Endurance Championship remaining.
