Pirelli Announce Tyre Compounds for Japan, Korea and India

1 Mins read

Pirelli have today announced the tyre compounds that they will be bringing to rounds 15, 16, and 17 of the 2012 F1 championship.

For the Japanese Grand Prix, which takes place at the beginning of October, drivers will be given the PZero Silver hard tyre and the Yellow soft tyre.

At the next race, the Korean Grand Prix, the Yellow soft tyre will be paired with the Red supersoft compound to help drivers in the tight and twisty corners of the Mokpo track.

And for Formula 1’s second visit to India at the end of October, the Italian tyre company will revert back to the hard and soft tyres.

Every driver will have six sets of the harder compound and five sets of the soft compound at their disposal for each race weekend,  as well as four sets of the Cinturato Green intermediate tyre  and three sets of the Cinturato Blue rain tyre, should conditions become inclement.

For the next race in Singapore, Pirelli will be providing the soft and supersoft tyres, as they have previously announced.
