1 Mins read

Sauber have announced that Esteban Gutiérrez and Robin Frijns as their selection for the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi, which takes place over the 6-8th November.

For Gutiérrez, who is the team’s reserve driver, this could effectively be an audition for a race seat in 2013. The 21-year-old is thought to be one of the most likely replacements for Sergio Perez.

It will be the Mexican’s fourth testing event with the team when he takes to the track on the second and third days in Abu Dhabi.

Frijns will be driving on the first day. The 21-year-old Dutchman is contesting the title in the Formula Renault 3.5 series this weekend at the Circuit de Catalunya.
