G-Drive Racing Announce Strong Line-Ups For WEC

1 Mins read

G-Drive Racing by Delta-ADR have confirmed strong driver line-ups for both their cars ahead of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Roman Rusinov is joined by former GP2 and IndyCar driver Mike Conway and four time race winner John Martin in the #26 Oreca Nissan. The #25 entry sees former F1 driver Antonio Pizzonia make his WEC debut alongside Tor Graves, with James Walker joining the duo at Silverstone.

“We set out to secure the best driver line-up possible and the support we have from G-Drive means we have been able to build a team of exceptionally talented drivers.” said team manager Simon Downson. “The competition in LMP2 is fiercer than ever this year so we have to keep pushing hard in order to achieve our goal of winning the WEC and Le Mans. With this line up I think we have the talent in place to secure top results. Mike and Antonio have joined the team alongside already proven race winners so it is a great boost for us.”

“The line-up at G-Drive Racing combines experience from Formula One, Indycar, GP2, World Series by Renault, Formula 3…the list goes on.” added Director of Global Motorsport for Nissan Darren Cox. “That just illustrates the level of competition in LMP2 and the fact that 10 of the 14 LMP2 cars on the Silverstone entry list are powered by Nissan Nismo is testament to the success of our customer engine programme. As a company we are very proud of this.”
