TRG Hoping To Leave Bad Luck Behind As ALMS Restarts

1 Mins read

TRG spent their extended American Le Mans Series break working on their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, and now believe they have the car to take them to championship glory.

The next round of the season held at Lime Rock Park looks good on paper for the team who have taken three wins, five podiums and two 1-2 finishes at the short 1.47 mile circuit.

Bad luck played a major part at the start of the season for TRG, including a jammed wheel gun whilst leading the Sebring 12 Hours and just lacking speed at Monterey. The team now believe that after the long break they can restart their season and challenge at the top of the table.

“TRG have had no break really with a lot of work behind the scenes,” said driver Damien Faulkner, who will share the Porsche with Ben Keating. “We’ve had a challenging beginning to 2013 and the team have found a few irregularities with the chassis and indeed the engine. I’m hoping that our season will finally kick off at Lime Rock and I aim to reward the team for their hard work by having a successful weekend. There’s still loads of time and everything to fight for in the championship.”

“I am excited about where we are now,” added Keating. “We are better prepared. Everybody loves a “come from behind” story. I don’t feel like an underdog. I feel like we have nowhere to go but up. We will begin to climb. But in order to win the championship, we’ve got to start winning a lot of races.
