The battle for the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup GB title resumes this weekend as the series heads north to the Scottish track of Knockhill.
Michael Meadows and Jonas Gelzinis are locked in an intense battle which saw them leave Snetterton on equal points with eight races to go this year. Gelzinis has done an impressive job of hauling back the points as Meadows previously lead the championship by 23 points in mid-June.
With everything to play for at the top of the table Dean Stoneman is looking to capitalise on any mistakes made and close the gap to the top from third place. Rory Butcher heads to his home track looking for his first win of 2013 after a strong showing at Snetterton and will be looking to capitalise on inside knowledge on the track owned by his family.
Carrera Cup Scholar Dan Lloyd is looking to get his championship attack back on track after a mixed campaign so far while James Birch continues to improve as his experience grows in the Pro category.
Runaway points leader in Pro-Am1 Victor Jimenez looks set to continue his fine run of form as he currently tops the class by a clear 60 points. Team-mate Dan De Zille is constantly improving and will be hoping to close in on the Spanish racer, unfortunately his weekend may be disrupted by not being able to test on Friday due to a new job. George Brewster will also be looking to make it on to the podium this weekend in his home race.
Qualifying is at 13.50 on Saturday (24 August) with round 13 of the Carrera Cup GB starting at 10.15 on Sunday (25 August) with round 14 at 16.15, which will be broadcast live on ITV4.
