Dan Lloyd topped the times in testing yesterday at Snetterton ahead of rounds eleven and twelve of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
The Team Parker Racing driver set the best time of a 1m54.271s to edge Redline Racing’s Dean Stoneman by 0.047s.
Defending champion and current points leader Michael Meadows was third for Samsung Smart Motorsport, three tenths shy of Lloyd’s pace.
Celtic Speed’s Rory Butcher was fourth while Jonas Gelzinis rounded out the top five.
Dan De Zille headed Pro-Am1 from team mate Victor Jiminez with series returnee Keith Webster third.
Sole Pro-Am2 runner Will Goff impressed by mixing it with the Pro-Am1 runners, recording the ninth fastest time.
The best times of the day came in the second session held in the afternoon when the track had dried following a huge thunderstorm which flooded the track in the morning and severely limited running during the first session.
On the day’s running and setting the pace Lloyd said: “It was fully dry for the second session but there were still muddy patches about and it was quite tricky in places. That’s a really good start to the weekend but its tomorrow that counts. It’s all good.”
Qualifying takes place today at 14:15 with both races being held on Sunday.
