SWR Hopes For Winning Formula 4 Homecoming

1 Mins read

Multiple BRDC Formula 4 Championship race winners Sean Walkinshaw Racing are hoping to keep up their strong showing as the championship visits Silverstone for the second time this season.

Hoping to add to the tally of three wins so far this season, SWR are preparing their three drivers: Jack Barlow, Matthew Graham and Zou Sirui for podium charges and in the case of Sirui – a charge towards a top ten finish.

With Barlow and Graham fourth and seventh in the championship respectively – they are hoping rounds 16/17 and 18 will see them charge up the table going into the final rounds at Snetterton and Donington Park.

The team are coming off a great result at the last round at Brands Hatch and team boss Sean Walkinshaw hopes the form can continue: “Brands Hatch was a great weekend for the whole team, the one-two result was absolutely fantastic and a real reward for all of the hard work and effort everyone has been putting into SWR’s maiden season.

“We can’t wait to be back at Silverstone, it’s always good to be racing close to home and having been so strong there at the start of the year, we’re feeling confident.”

Indeed the form book is going well for Graham as well, the SWR rookie won his first car race last time out and then followed it up with a third place in race three.

The next F4 event takes place on August 17/18 with one race on Saturday and the remaining two on Sunday – highlights of the action – and hopefully SWRs successes, will be screened on ITV4 a weekend later.
