KCMotorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) have confirmed that James Winslow will complete their three-driver line-up, joining Gary Thompson and Akash Nandy for the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Series.

Winslow’s career highlights include victories in Australian and British Formula 3, Formula Renault 3.5 and Asian Formula 3. He has also raced in high level motor sport across the globe, competing in series such as Indy Lights, A1GP and F3 at Macau. He has also received the Royal Humane Award from Queen Elizabeth II for saving a fellow racing driver from a burning car at the Sentul Circuit in Indonesia in 2006.

“I am delighted to be joining KCMG in the Asian Le Mans Series,” said Winslow, who will join Thompson and Nandy in KCMG’s Morgan-Nissan LMP2 in the three hour race at the the 4.2km Inje circuit. “I was at the Le Mans 24 Hours this year and was very impressed to see them leading the race in only their first year as an LMP2 team. I first met team owner Paul Ip and members of his KCMG team back in 2006 when I raced in Formula 3 and I’m very proud to be joining these guys again in this fantastic team as it grows into a world class outfit. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and looking forward to working with this team.”

“We are very happy to announce James as our third driver completing our Asian Le Mans line up for the Inje event,” added Team Owner Paul Ip. “We are looking forward to have him represent us in the 3 Hours of Inje. Our crew has been busy preparing for the Asian Le Mans opening event this weekend. Certainly, we are now aiming for victory after our successful sports car endurance outings in Europe early this year.”
