Newly-crowned Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain champion Dan Cammish has expressed his excitement after winning a prize BTCC test with Airwaves Racing.
Cammish wrapped up the single-seater championship at Rockingham this past weekend, the JTR driver adding three wins in Northamptonshire to ensure he ends his season with a 100% winning record, 24 wins in 24 races.
As the 24 year old revealed to thecheckeredflag.co.uk earlier this month, Cammish has his sights set on a move into the BTCC next season – and his attentions are now turned to his opportunity to run in an Airwaves Ford Focus NGTC at the end of the season, one of his prizes for winning the championship.
“I’m really looking forward to my first go in a touring car. It’s going to be a learning experience, but one that I’m sure I’ll adapt to,” said Cammish.
“I’ve followed BTCC quite closely, and I love the look of the NGTC cars. In particular the Airwaves car looks fantastic, and Motorbase, what a great team to make my BTCC debut as it were with. I can’t wait to see how it goes.”
