Adam Carroll and Rob Bell will join Gulf Racing team owner Mike Wainwright behind the wheel of a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 at the Gulf 12 Hours.
The trio will come together, with Bell coming off of two podiums in the Baku Challenge, in the #9 McLaren for the third Gulf 12 Hours at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
“I am really looking forward to racing with Rob and Adam after they were so competitive in our PRO entry in the Blancpain Endurance Series,” said Wainwright, who missed the Nuburgring 6 Hours. “I’ve not raced at the track before so it will be good to have a competitive race there”.
Co-team owner Roald Goethe will also be in action, driving the #69 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 alongside Fred Faiten, who returns to the team having raced with Goethe and Wainwright multiple times, and FIA World Endurance Championship GTE-Am Champion Stuart Hall.
“It’s really great to be racing again with Roald and the Gulf Racing Team; I’m really looking forward to getting back in the Lamborghini also as it’s a car we both love to drive,” said Hall.
“Firstly it’s brilliant to have Roald racing again with us to sign off 2013,” added Team Manager Matt Beers. “It’s also great to be running two different marques, the Lamborghini has recently been refurbished and upgraded to competition standard and this is a great event to debut it back as part of our competitive stable of cars for 2014”.
