Rockingham Needs Volunteers For Safety Exercise

1 Mins read

Rockingham Motor Speedway are offering fans the chance to get a free pair of tickets to their opening race meeting of the season, in return for volunteering to help with an emergency exercise at the circuit.

The Northamptonshire circuit needs volunteers to help act as spectators as they test the venue’s safety procedures in preparation for the new season. The volunteers will be asked to follow the steward’s instructions during a number of scenario’s, including the emergency evacuation of the grandstand.

Volunteers are needed from 10:00 on Friday 4 April, which is the test day for the BARC race meeting on April 5/6, which helpers will receive free tickets for.

Rockingham’s Head of Operations, Cat Lund said: “It’s important we check our stewarding and spectator safety procedures every year. In order to help us do this, we need some willing volunteers to pretend to be spectators.

“In return everyone who comes along will be able to watch testing for the BARC race meeting and will receive a pair of free tickets to come back and watch some of the best British Club racing.”

Anyone interested in volunteering should register their details at [email protected] by Friday, March 28.
