Porsche and Aston Martin Given GTE BoP Adjustments

1 Mins read

Aston Martin and Porsche have been given Balance of Performance adjustments by the FIA Endurance Committee following the Six Hours of Silverstone.

For the WEC Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, both the GTE Pro and GTE Am Porsche 991 RSR’s will have to run 25kg heavier for the race, whilst all four Aston Martin Vantage’s can run 15kg lighter following their lack of pace at Silverstone. However, the Porsche 911 GT3 of ProSpeed Competition isn’t affected, nor is the 2012 Vantage that can still run in LMGTE Am.

The reason for the lack of performance for Aston Martin at Silverstone is an off-season ride height change of 5mm which has upset the balance of the cars, but brings it into line with the rest of the GTE field. Meanwhile,  all of the Ferrari 458 Italia’s remain on the BoP as before.

The WEC Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps takes place on May 3.
