Petter Solberg took the top honours of Heat 2 as he and Tanner Foust broke through the sub-3-minute finish time and gain the most points from the heat.
Race 1 saw LD Motorsports Krzysztof Skorupski take a heat win despite the team suffering further technical gremlins which also bugged them in the first round in Portugal; he went up against Jochen Coox and Bohdan Ludwiczak who finished second and third respectively. Julian Godfrey took race 2 ahead of Peter Hedstrom and Mats Ohman, while Ollie O’Donovan did not start the race due to engine issues.
Lukas Walfridson finished race 3 ahead of Ramona Karlsson and Eric Faren. Liam Doran struggled to fourth place as it looks like he will miss the finals again for the second round running as the team get to grips with this years Citroen DS3. Jean-Luc Pallier retired following a small fire.
Derek Tohill was the jewel in the LD Motorsports crown as he took his race win against Alexandre Theuil, Alexander Hvaal and Jos Jansen. Frode Holte was also put out of the race by a fire.
Andy Scott took victory in his race to remain in the hunt for a position in the finals while Petter Solberg once again regained his form to take victory over Andrew Jordan by 2 seconds clear, Henning Solberg finished in third place.
Timmy Hansen finished race 7 in front of Reinis Nitisss and Jerome Grosset-Janin as Anton Marklund experienced technical problems as a result of the engine fire he experience in practice. Tommy Rustad limped home after an earlier collision with Hansen caused steering problem, the following lap after the collision he hit the barrier on the entry to Chessons.
Tanner Foust was unstoppable again in his race as he aced the race ahead of Robin Larsson in his Audi A1, Toomas Heikkinen‘s Ford Fiesta, Andreas Bakkerud and Timur Timerzyanov. It was a fast paced race as even though Timerzyanov finished fifth in the race his time was good enough to grab ninth in the heat.
