Sam MacLeod made it a two wins in two races at Rockingham with a commanding victory in the Cooper Tyres British F3 International Series.
The Fortec Motorsport racer made good use of the compact grid to leap from 4th to 1st at the drop of the flag, with pole-man Camren Kaminsky being engulfed by MacLeod, Matt Rao and Carlin’s Alice Powell.
Kaminsky’s race failed to improve after a poor start too, with the American being out-dragged on the Rockingham banking by Powell for 3rd place a few laps later. A mistake on lap 10 at the Brook hairpin later dropped him to 5th.
Besides the MacLeod-dominance at the front was a charging performance by the third Fortec Motorsport car of Matthew Rao, with the British driver making good use of the fast-Rockingham Motor Speedway to position himself for a number of do-or-dare lunges into the Dean hairpin, and passed the likes of Andy Chang and Peter Li en route to a 4th place finish.
But no-one could stop MacLeod up-front, who took victory and the fastest lap to lead home a Fortec 1-2 for the second time this weekend.
