Scott Out As Villeneuve Rolls Peugeot In Testing

1 Mins read

Albatec Racing will run only one car this weekend at the FIA World Rallycross Championship heads to Hell, Norway after a testing shunt for Jacques Villeneuve has left his Peugeot 208 too damaged.

The team were busy testing in  Holjës, Sweden today when the incident happened late in the day. The team had completed a majority of their testing when Villeneuve rolled his car.

Unfortunately for the team with the race weekend so close there is no time for them to repair the #25 chassis so team principal Andy Scott has taken the decision to step aside for the weekend and let Villeneuve race the #26 Peugeot 208 chassis.

Villeneuve had a tough opening weekend of the World Rallycross season and will be looking to improve on that performance after missing the second round due to Indy 500 duties which saw him finish 14th on his return.
