Villeneuve Ready To Take On Hell

1 Mins read

Following his return to Indycar for the Indianapolis 500 race(where he finished 14th), Jacques Villenueve heads back Albatec Racing for the third round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Hell, Norway.

Villenueve was thrown in at the deep end for the opening round, but will be hoping an extensive testing programme ahead of the race weekend will help his chances.

“I’m very happy to be getting back into rallycross,”said Villeneuve, “but obviously hoping to have a better result than my first event.

“Coming here off the back of a good finish at Indy I’m feeling pretty confident and with the benefit now of one rallycross event already completed, will certainly be hoping for an improvement in Norway.

“It’s encouraging for the team to have qualified for two successive semi finals with Andy, and hopefully the developments they’ve done will allow me to challenge for a strong result.”

Hell is situated in northern Norway and is one of the most technical circuits on the calendar.
