Jack Falla has become the first driver to officially sign up for the new look 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup of Great Britain, joining 2014 championship winning squad Redline Racing.
Falla began his circuit racing career in 2009, contesting several Formula Ford races at Australian state level. His first full season was actually in Porsche competition, in the GT3 Cup Australia in 2013.
Since then, the youngster has tested for multiple British Touring Car Championship title winning team, Triple Eight. Those tests were to assist the British squad in developing their BMW Z4 GT3 machine for Blancpain contests.
He is managed and mentored by multiple-title winning Touring Car star Andy Priaulx and together they decided to stick to single-make competition rather than a possible season in British GT or the Blancpain GT competitions.
Being sensible about his targets for his UK debut, Falla commented “To be honest I just want to finish the season and make a good impression with the team. Every circuit in the UK is new to me with previously racing in Australia.”
Series organisers will be glad to have attracted a new talented to the series and no doubt will be hoping the changes made for 2015 mean many more join Jack for the new season ahead.
