Adam Hatfield will embark on his first full campaign in the Michelin Clio Cup Series next season with Finesse Motorsport.
The 16 year old got his first taste of Clio Series action this year with SV Racing. After embarking on a six day testing programme with the front-running outfit, Hatfield made his race debut at Brands Hatch in July.
It was a positive first Clio race outing for the Norfolk-based racer, who followed up a fourteenth place finish in the opening race with a hugely impressive drive to seventh in race two.
With that experience under his belt, the former Saxmax podium finisher is ready to mount a full attack next season with local team Finesse.
“I’m really excited going into my first full season in the Michelin Clio Cup Series in 2015,” Hatfield told TCF.
“2014 has been a great year for me. I undertook a testing programme to learn my trade in the third generation Clio whilst my all-important GCSE exams took place, then I had a fantastic debut round at Brands Hatch which far exceeded my expectations.
“Going into 2015 I’m looking to emulate the success of that round and as the season progresses I hope to improve on it and continue my development as a driver.
“I would like to say a big thank you to my sponsors who are helping to get me on the grid in 2015, Chase Timber Products, Hugh J Boswell, Eastern For Lifts, EDT Automotive and Ell Pro Timber.”
