100 not out of M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta R5

1 Mins read

Since M-Sport unleashed their Ford Fiesta R5‘s to the rallying world in 2013, replacing the ageing Focus they have been a force to reckon with and today at the 2015 Autosport International show saw the celebrations of  the 100th version.

The Fiesta R5 has seen success across the global rally scene and most recently saw Kajetan Kajetanowicz take a dominant victory in the opening round of the 2015 European Rally Championship, finishing seven minutes ahead of the nearest competitor.

M-Sport aren’t content with sitting on their laurels though, development plans are in place for a number of upgrades later this year.

With cars being registered in 28 different countries to date and interest growing it has been a story of success for M-Sport and Managing Director, Malcolm Wilson OBE is understandably happy.

“We are all extremely proud of the Ford Fiesta R5″ he said. “It has been one of our most successful models with considerable achievements on a global scale. With further developments and upgrades in the pipeline, it is fantastic to see the 100th version leave the workshop as interest and orders continue to grow.”
