1 Mins read

Hyundai Motorsport have confirmed that it will be entering three cars for next months Rally Sweden, round two of the World Rally Championship.

Having already entered Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo in to the upcoming Rallye Monte-Carlo the manufacturer will add Hayden Paddon to their Hyundai i20 WRC line-up.

The team have already carried out testing in Sweden in December with Neuville and Sordo both completing two full days. Paddon’s testing has been limited and is expected to test the car for one day leading up to the rally.

With the addition of Paddon in Sweden this three car line-up will complete the rest of the season in their bid to challenge for the championship.

“As we saw last year, having three cars on WRC events is very positive and helps us to develop our Hyundai i20 WRC more rapidly” said Team Principal Michel Nandan.

“Overall, I think we have a good line-up for Sweden with Thierry, Dani and Hayden. Despite our drivers not being surface specialists, they have proven to be consistent in Sweden in the past and I’m sure we will see some interesting performances from them this year.

“Thierry and Dani had a pre-event test in December for Sweden which helped them to find a reliable set-up for the event; we know it’s a tough event and we want to be as prepared as possible.”
