Honour Targets Road Title In 2015 Clio Series

1 Mins read

Jake Honour has the Road Class title firmly in his sights this season after confirming he will return for a third ‘make or break’ campaign in the Michelin Clio Cup Series.

Honour has competed in the tin-top category since its inception in 2013, and once again will run under the Jake Honour Racing with Jade Developments banner, a nod to his support from the Leicester-based vehicle specialists.

Honour heads into the 2015 season with a new headline sponsor, Milltek Sport, which will see him working side-by-side with the aftermarket exhaust manufacturer at a number of shows and events throughout the year alongside the racing.

It was a mixed 2014 campaign for Honour, the highlights being a double race win on the opening weekend at Rockingham and three further podium finishes.

Unfortunately for the 23 year old, a string of DNF’s and a missed meeting at Brands Hatch due to financial issues left him down in fifth in the final standings.

Knowing he has the pace to win races, Honour is now firmly focused on challenging for the title this season.

“This year we are looking to really show what we can do, the only option is to win the Road Class title and come away on top. It really is a “make or break” year,” Honour told TCF.

“I’m extremely confident that it can be done, as long as a bit of luck comes our way. I’m really hoping that all the bad luck was thrown our way in 2014.

“We have fantastic support and backing from massive brands, such as Milltek & Performance French Car Magazine this year, and also Jade Developments who always provide a decent and well prepared car.”

Alongside Milltek and PFC Magazine, Honour also has backing from APM Customs, DS Smith, Shakeys Laboratory, Zephyr Performance, Koden Helmets and Eye4-Media.
