Go Racing Motorsport Enters Michelin Clio Cup Road Series

1 Mins read

Former Clio 182 champion Matt Fincham will step up to the Michelin Clio Cup Series this year with his Go Racing Motorsport outfit.

Fincham, who runs the team with former BTCC engineer John Shields, won the 750 Motor Club’s Clio 182 Series in 2013 and narrowly missed out on defending the crown last year.

For 2015, the team will run Fincham in the Road class of the BARC Clio Series, with plans to field a second car later in the season.

“It’s fantastic to be branching out into the Michelin Clio Cup Road Series, it’s a great way for us to promote Go Racing Motorsport as well as promoting the Road Series to drivers we’re working with on trackdays and in the 182s,” said 36-year-old Fincham.

“I’ll be racing the full season, hopefully we will run two in the championship later in the year and the intention long-term is to run three cars.”
