JOTA Sport Sign Tincknell for 6 Hours of Spa

1 Mins read

JOTA Sport has signed Harry Tincknell for the 2015 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the next round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship, to race alongside Simon Dolan and Mitch Evans in the #38 LMP2 Gibson 015S Nissan at the classic Belgian circuit on May 2.

Tincknell is available for the Spa race because his commitments with the Nissan LMP1 team do not start until the Le Mans race in June. He is also currently competing for JOTA in the European Le Mans Series this year, who finished 2nd at the 4 Hours of Silverstone last weekend.

“I’m delighted to be called up for Spa and obviously have good memories, last year finishing second in my first race at World Championship level” says Tincknell. “I also believe the new Gibson update will suit Spa very well.

“Simon drove really well there last year considering it was only a few weeks after his massive Silverstone shunt. There is no doubt that Mitch will be fast so we go to Belgium with a very strong package. JOTA has worked very hard over the winter and the guys were absolutely supreme in the pit stops at Silverstone.”

Last year at Spa-Francorchamps, JOTA finished 2nd in class with Dolan, Tincknell and Marc Gené. They will be hoping for a win at the 2015 race, on May 2.
