JRM Racing Confirm Selected 2015 FIA World Rallycross Programme

1 Mins read

JRM Racing have announced that they will be taking part in selected rounds of the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship as they continue their development of its Mini Clubman RX.

There has been no confirmation on how many of the 13 rounds the team will be contesting in but JRM Executive Director James Rumsey admits that it is an exciting project to be involved in.

“We’ve studied the development and growth of World RX closely since the series was launched in 2014 and we believe it has a very exciting future,” said Rumsey.

The Mini Clubman RX was last seen in action in a recent episode of Top Gear when the team took on Rallycross at Lydden Hill.

“We want to be winning races in World RX but we recognise that it will take some time to achieve that goal. By treating the 2015 season as a development year, we will have a great opportunity to learn about all of the elements that are required to be successful in World RX. In 2016, we intend to run a full season and challenge for world championships.”

The Mini RX is a thoroughbred rally car and is derived from the short-lived spell in the FIA World Rally Championship.

The team confirmed that they will be running one of their two cars at the upcoming media day in Barcelona.
