M-Sport Looking For Continued Improvement In Argentina

1 Mins read

M-Sport will be looking to build on their good form as the 2015 FIA World Rally Championship heads to Argentina.

The British based squad are currently third in the series and have been steadily improving as the year has progressed.

Elfyn Evans has impressed this year, the Welshman has improved with each of the three rounds so far this season and took fourth place in Mexico. Evans will be hoping to step on to the podium in Argentina, he has spent the six week break since Mexico developing the Ford Fiesta WRC as well as the new Fiesta R2.

“This will be a completely different rally to last year where the focus was purely on getting to the end of the event.” said Evans, “While we still want to aim for a solid result, I hope that we can show a significant improvement from this time 12 months ago.”

Ott Tanak made the headlines in Mexico after plunging off the road and into a reservoir early in the event. The Estonian will be keen to bounce back in Argentina and secure a good points finish.

“This break has been too long for me and it’s made me really hungry to drive again. We did some testing with the new car after Mexico, but I can’t wait to be back competing again.” added Tanak.

Rally Argentina kicks off on April 23 and theCheckeredFlag.co.uk will be providing full coverage throughout the weekend.
