Citroen To Bring New Upgrades To Portugal

1 Mins read

Kris Meeke and Mads Ostberg will have some performance upgrades added to their Citroen DS3 WRCs ahead of the fifth round of the 2015 FIA World Rally Championship, Vodafone Rally de Portugal.

The Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team have been hard at work looking for ways to improve their cars in order to build on a positive start to the season for the French team.

Citroen have re-designed the front end of the car with a new front bumper and wings in a bid to improve downforce and decrease drag. The DS3 will also sport a new livery also.

“Citroën Racing hasn’t stopped working on the development of DS 3 WRC since the current regulations were introduced in 2011,” reiterated Yves Matton, Citroën Racing Team Principal.

“If you take the new features unveiled in January and this second batch, this is the most significant upgrade since the DS 3 WRC was first homologated.

“The aerodynamic upgrades introduced here should help us to keep improving. Confirmed during wind tunnel and pre-event testing, the gains achieved in terms of drag coefficient and downforce are significant.”

Rally Portugal kicks off on May 21.
