It was announced on Wednesday that Project Brabham has launched the first stage of their Brabham-Digital website to the general public and to the world’s media.
The interim www.brabham-digital.com was created thanks to the generous support of Project Brabham supporters from 64 countries across the globe who backed David Brabham’s vision to bring back the iconic Brabham Racing team with a bold, sustainable, open source racing model.
The new Brabham-Digital website will enable members to keep updated via their dedicated login and receive the latest news on Project Brabham’s progress in building the Brabham Racing team and fully functioning Brabham-Digital platform, through regular community news, podcasts, videos and blogs from David and his team.
The public site also serves as a dedicated gateway for new membership, as well as providing wider news as the Brabham Racing team travels its extraordinary journey back to race circuits worldwide. The all-new Brabham Racing outfit is striving to return to World Championship competition via the FIA World Endurance Championship LMP2 class in 2016, 50 years after legendary triple World Champion and engineer Sir Jack Brabham became the only driver to win an F1 title in a car of his own name and manufacture.
Over 3,000 contributors helped Project Brabham hit its target six days ahead of schedule late last year, making it one of the biggest sports crowdfunding campaigns in the world and proving the demand for openness and transparency in motorsport.
The tremendous crowdfunding support has also ensured the development of the investor prospectus. Building a robust model is essential to approach the investors and partners needed to secure the investment to build the team, the fully immersive Brabham-Digital platform and first stage modules of the Brabham-Fan, Brabham-Driver and Brabham-Engineer portals.
“It is a great pleasure to launch our first stage Brabham-Digital website that gives our Project Brabham community a hub to keep up to date with how we are rebuilding the house that Jack built. said Brabham Racing Team Principal, David Brabham. “We have an ambitious plan to bring this iconic Brabham name back to racing with an open and transparent team, one where people can engage, contribute and learn.
“Our community will see how we build the team from scratch. Building a conventional race team brings enough challenges and we know we’ll face our fair share. Why? Because we are bringing the Brabham Racing team back in a completely new way.
“We have an amazing journey ahead of us, one that I’m sure will have lots of highs and lows, but that’s what life is about. We will share every step with our community so we can learn and grow together.”
