Nico Rosberg was handed a reprimand following his pit entry incident during the first free practice session at the Circuit de Catalunya.
The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS driver was handed the reprimand for crossing the white line separating the track from the pit lane after the bollard that designates the final point where he is allowed, twenty-five minutes from the end of the session.
Rosberg was deemed to have been in breach of Article 12.1.1.i of Appendix L of the International Sporting Code, with a stewards statement saying:
“The driver crossed the line separating the pit entry from the track and did not stay to the right of the bollard, as required in the race director’s event notes.”
It is Rosberg’s first reprimand of 2015, with a driver penalised when they reach three. The last time he earned a reprimand was at the 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix.
