Cammish Continues Carrera Cup GB Domination

1 Mins read

Dan Cammish and Redline Racing remained on top in the second Porsche Carrera Cup GB encounter at Croft, as once again the Pro-Am2 action was disrupted by poor driving standards.

Team Parker Racing’s Stephen Jelley lunged for the lead at turn one, yet his second gravel trap based incident meant he had to settle for fourth position. His teammate Josh Webster held second for a time before running wide at the Sunny section. Michael Meadows and Samsung SUHD TV Racing picked up the position gratefully.

In Pro-Am1, Karl Leonard led for Parker before Juta Racing’s Ignas Gelzinis swept through for victory and he was followed past Leonard by Redline driver Jordan Witt. Leonard narrowly held on top the rostrum finish, defeating Mark Cole and Parr Motorsport.

John McCullagh headed another Pro-Am2 race in seeming serenity for Redline, as the rest of the class endeavoured to destroy each other. Rupert Martin’s Team Parker machine was wiped out by an incident involving Francis Galashan’s GT-Marques car and Nerijus Dagilis’ Juta machine. Galashan held on for second and Tautvydas Barstys held off teammate Dagilis for the final class rostrum position.

The Porsche Carrera Cup GB returns at Snetterton in six week’s time. Full results can be found here: http://tsl-timing.com/event/152603
