It’s Fantastic Five for Cammish

1 Mins read

Dan Cammish dominated a fraught Porsche Carrera Cup GB opener at Croft, in a race marred by a first lap clash and some clumsy driving in Pro-Am2.

Redline Racing’s Cammish defeated Team Parker Racing man Josh Webster and Michael Meadows’ Samsung SUHD TV Racing car after the latter stole a rostrum finish from Webster’s teammate Stephen Jelley, despite both running thorough the gravel in the latter stages of the race.

Team Parker’s Karl Leonard led home Jordan Witt, whose Redline teammate Jack Falla was wiped out after collecting G-Cat Racing driver Ryan Cullen at turn two inducing a first lap safety car. Behind this pair, Ignas Gelzinis brought his Juta Racing car home on the podium again.

The second Juta Racing car of Tautvydas Barstys became involved in a clumsy incident in Pro-Am2, as he rejoined unsafely after a spin at the hairpin and thus spun Asset Advantage Race Team driver Chris Dockerill and Credit4Cars’ Chris Dockerill out of Pro-Am2 contention. It was Redline man John McCullagh who once again followed in his teammate Cammish’s footsteps by taking a class win from Francis Galashan and GT-Marques, with third occupied by Ian Dockerill’s Credit4Cars car.

Race two gets under way at 16:19. Full results can be found here: http://tsl-timing.com/event/152603
