Jolyon Palmer is happy to be participating once more in opening practice for the Lotus F1 Team this weekend at his home circuit of Silverstone.

The reigning GP2 Series champion, who will also commentate on GP2 throughout the weekend, feels the British circuit is amongst his favourites, with Palmer feeling the team should be looking to secure a good haul of points this weekend.

“Silverstone is one of my favourite races on the calendar so I am really excited to be driving in FP1 there this year,” revealed Palmer.

“The track is awesome and the crowd is always the best of the year, which is a nice feeling for my home race!

“After testing in Austria, we hope to have made some improvements to score some more points this weekend.”

Palmer will once again take the seat of regular driver Romain Grosjean during opening practice.
