Müller Marvellous as Eng Undone in Hungary Qualifying

1 Mins read

Sven Müller has leapt to the attention of his fellow Porsche Mobil1 Supercup contenders by stealing pole position for the Lechner Racing Middle East squad in Hungary

The Austrian will lead Christian Engelhart (MRS-GT Racing) and his own teammate Michael Ammermüller to the starting lights for round five of the season.

Meanwhile, Team Project 1’s championship leader Philipp Eng has not only been out qualified by both his title rivals but languishes in a comparatively lowly sixth on the grid after topping practice.

Ben Barker is another whose practice pace did not translate to qualifying and he finds himself outside the top ten in twelfth while his vastly less experience MOMO-Megatron Team PARTRAX teammate Cameron Twynham is only five places further back in seventeenth.

Ryan Cullen’s effort for the VERVA Lechner Racing Team was good enough for twenty first as the single-seater convert continues to gain experience of these unique machines.

Following his free-practice foray for Sky Sports F1, Johnny Herbert is not contesting the remainder of this weekend.
