After rounds in Paul Ricard, Estoril and Silverstone, the SEAT Leon Eurocup arrives at the Red Bull Ring in Austria this weekend.
The championship is only led by 2 points at the moment, with Pol Rosell of Baporo Motorsport leading the way over Stian Paulsen. A large grid of 33 drivers, representing 17 nationalities, will contest the high-speed Austrian circuit that only recently hosted the Formula One circus.
Mario Dablander and Jurgen Schmarl are both looking forward to their home round of the championship, but at the front of the field, five drivers are separated by just 15 points.
“It will be the first time that the SEAT Leon Eurocup visits the Austrian venue of the Red Bull Ring,” commented Jaime Puig, SEAT Sport Director. “We are really looking forward to see all the Cup Racers on this fantastic track and to see what they can do just two weeks after F1 was here; we are talking about one of the most beautiful racing facilities in the world.
“The SEAT Leon Eurocup arrives with an extremely close points situation in the championship and with all those involved ready not to give an inch. We’re hoping for another intense weekend of racing,”
