Susie Wolff completed her second practice session of the season at Silverstone, and felt it was ‘great’ to be back driving the Williams Martini Racing FW37 in front of the masses of British fans.
The Scottish racer felt she could have gone quicker than she managed during the session, ending 0.773s back from regular driver Felipe Massa after replacing Valtteri Bottas for the ninety-minute session.
“It was great to be back in the car especially at Silverstone,” said Wolff. “It’s not easy to jump into the car after such a long time, so to be within eight tenths off Felipe isn’t, I left a bit on the table but completed my programme.
“The team did a great job to get me ready and fully prepared so I am grateful to them for that.”
