2016 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Schedule Released

1 Mins read

Along with the name change to IMSA’s top sportscar series, the 2016 schedule for the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship was announced yesterday.

While it remains largely unchanged, some venues will have more classes than previously.

Long Beach will see Prototype Challenge added to the Prototype and GT Le Mans classes, whilst all classes will now compete at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Finally, the Lime Rock Park round will include GT Le Mans.

Two tests for all four classes will take place at Daytona International Speedway, the first on November 17-18, and the second joining the Roar Before The Rolex 24, on January 8-10.
