Nygaard: “This Track Should Suit our Aston Martin”

1 Mins read

Young Driver AMR is one of seven LMGTE Pro teams looking forward to the return of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Nuburgring.

Behind the wheel of the #95 Aston Martin Vantage V8 will be Christoffer Nygaard and Marco Sorensen. Nicki Thiim skips this round due to other commitments, leaving Young Driver AMR as the only two-driver Aston Martin Racing team.

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Young Driver AMR finished fourth, and is looking for s stronger result at the series’ first Nurburgring race.

“I can’t wait to return to the track as the summer break was just too long,” said Christoffer Nygaard. “We finished fourth at Le Mans. This was not exactly what we were looking for, but the race showed that we have a great pace and we have to make the best out of this weekend.

“The test recently at Nürburgring went well. We had all kind of different conditions and could try different things. The track should suit our Aston Martin, but judged from what we saw at the test, it will be a very close and exciting race again in our class.
