Slower Aston Martins Among GTE BoP Changes

1 Mins read

Ahead of the 2015 6 Hours of Nurburgring, various alterations to the Balance of Performance in the GTE classes of the FIA World Endurance Championship have been announced.

Most prominent of these changes is 0.5mm air restrictor size reduction to the Aston Martins in both LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am classes, following the manufacturer’s early-season success.

On the other hand, the Porsche 911 RSRs, that have not had the results expected from them, are given a 10kg weight decrease in LMGTE Pro and a 15kg removal in the Am category.

The Corvette C7R is awarded a 5 litre high fuel capacity and a larger refuelling restrictor, whilst the Ferrari F458 Italias have 15kg added in LMGTE Am only.

The 6 Hours of Nurburgring takes place on August 30.
