Josh Webster (Team Parker Racing) has been demoted from race victory in the second Porsche Carrera Cup GB race at Silverstone, following contact with Michael Meadows’ Samsung SUHD TV Racing car at Brooklands.
This means Dino Zamparelli has been elevated to race victory for GT Marques, his second of the weekend. IDL Racing driver Tom Sharp is also assisted with a podium finish as a consequence of the drama.
Webster was demoted to seventh following the penalty, one place behind Meadows. All the shuffling and drama means the gap between Zamparelli and Sharp in the “Rookie” competition is now even closer, with the latter holding a small six point advantage over the former.
