Dan Cammish took his first victory since clinching the Porsche Carrera Cup GB title, with a confident and assured drive in the opening race on the Brands Hatch GP circuit for Redline Racing.
Tom Sharp trailed Cammish all the way home in his IDL Racing machine and extended his slender margin in the Rookie contest over Dino Zamparelli, who continued his run of podiums for GT Marques with a third.
In Pro-Am1 Jordan Witt took the fight to Ignas Gelzinis and Juta Racing, on behalf of the Redline Racing squad, yet the Lithuanian was able to cling on to victory and reach one hand towards class glory. Mark Cole did a solid job for Parr Motorsport to pick up another class podium.
John McCullagh finally claimed the Pro-Am2 title after late race drama for his main Juta rival Nerijus Dagilis, dropped the latter down the order. It was actually the third Juta machine of Tautvydas Barstys who claimed a convincing victory ahead of the new champion, who was followed over the line by Ian Dockerill in the Asset Advantage Race Team car.
For race two we have a Rookie prize, a Team title, a Pro-Am1 title and second place in the championship to sort out. As a footnote reference to the final battle, Michael Meadows is now an odds on favourite for Samsung SUHD TV Racing after finishing fifth whilst Team Parker Racing’s Josh Webster span off the circuit at Hawthorn on the penultimate lap.
