Final 2015 compound choices announced by Pirelli

1 Mins read

Pirelli have revealed the tyre compounds they will be bringing to the final four Grand Prix of 2015, with three of those races utilising the same two compounds.

The United States Grand Prix starts a three-race stint of using the P Zero White Medium tyre and the P Zero Yellow Soft tyre, which are the same compounds used in last year’s event at the Circuit of the Americas.

The following race in Mexico is a trip into the unknown for Pirelli, but simulation data indicates that the same Medium and Soft tyre will be best suited to the circuit, which will be hosting its first Grand Prix since 1992 this season.

The penultimate race of the season will be at the Interlagos circuit in Brazil, and like in 2014, the Medium and Soft tyre will be in operation, with the aim of offering teams the option of running two or three stop strategies.

The finale of the season is in Abu Dhabi, and the tyre compounds chosen for 2015 match once more those seen in 2014, with the Soft compound being run alongside the P Zero Red Supersoft.
