NASCAR Whelen Euro Series set to visit six countries in 2016

On the eve of the final round of the 2015 season, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series has unveiled its 2016 calendar  and new specification car at Circuit Zolder.

The 2016 season will mark the eighth season for NWES and will once again visit 6 countries and a total of 24 races culminating in the semi-finals which will held at a new venue in Italy. The Adria Raceway is located near Venice an will be offering double points  for all of the races. The season will come to a close once again with the Finals held at Circuit Zolder in Belgium.

“We are very proud to work with such amazing tracks partners and can’t thank them enough for their efforts” said NWES President Jerome Galpin.

“This calendar is a great mix of mythic tracks like Valencia, Brands Hatch and Zolder and challenging ovals like Raceway Venray and Tours Speedway. We are also very happy to welcome Adria Raceway in the NASCAR Family.

“All these partnerships are based on great human relationship with a common goal to deliver the best racing show to European fans.” he added.

The series will start in Valencia at the end of April (22-24) and there will be hopes of repeating the large attendance of 2015.British fans will once again be treated to the American SpeedFest at Brands Hatch on 10-12 June.

Rounds 1 & 2: 22-24 April VALENCIA,Spain – Road Course
Rounds 3 & 4: 14 -16 May VENRAY Raceway, Holland – Oval. (On Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
Rounds 5 & 6: 10-12 June BRANDS HATCH Indy, UK – Road Course
Rounds 7 & 8: 24-26 June TOURS Speedway – France, Oval
Semi-Finals: 16-18 September ADRIA Raceway,Italy – Road Course
Finals: 07-09 October ZOLDER,Belgium – Road Course
