Will Stevens: “My objective is to beat my team-mate”

1 Mins read

Will Stevens admits he is looking to beat team-mate Alexander Rossi this weekend in front of the American’s home fans at the Circuit of the Americas.

The British Manor F1 Team driver will race at COTA for the first time this weekend, and is looking forward to experiencing the track for himself, but admits he’ll be aiming to defeat team-mate Rossi, something he has not managed in the two races the two have raced together this season in Singapore and Japan.

“I’m really excited to be racing in Austin for the first time this weekend,” said Stevens. “It’s a fantastic track with so much going on through the lap and I can’t wait to experience the elevation change for myself.

“The city also sounds like a lot of fun. I do love America and I’ve spent the past few days training in Florida and getting used to the time difference, so I’m feeling fighting fit and prepared for the next races.

“It’s good to welcome Alex back to the team, and clearly this is a big weekend for him. As you’d expect though, my objective, as always, is to beat my team-mate!”
