Felipe Nasr: “It will be a very exciting weekend”

1 Mins read

Felipe Nasr is looking forward to his first home Grand Prix this weekend as the Sauber F1 Team driver tackles the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.

The Brazilian participated in free practice at the circuit in 2014 during his time as third driver at the Williams Martini Racing team, but considers racing in front of his home fans a ‘pleasure and honour’, and is hoping for a good result.

“I am really looking forward to my first ever Formula One Grand Prix in Interlagos,” said Nasr. “I am sure there is going to be a lot of energy around the track from all the fans. It will be a very exciting weekend for me representing my home country in Formula One.

“Last year I drove in FP1 for Williams, which was a nice feeling. But racing in Formula 1 in front of my home crowd is a dream I have always had.

“Considering our motorsport history, it is not only a pleasure and honour, but also a moment to remember.”
