AM Champion White Returns To Defend His Supercup Crown

1 Mins read

Colin White is aiming to defend his Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup ‘AM’ class title this season as he returns to the grid in his CWS Racing prepared Ginetta G55.

The Ginetta stalwart was the class of the AM field last season, finishing off the podium just twice in the 22 races he competed in as he carded fourteen class wins.

2016 will mark White’s seventh season of one-make Ginetta competition since making his debut in 2009, with the 59 year old picking up 96 race starts in the Supercup era so far.

Outside the Supercup, White has regularly used his G55 in endurance racing, with his latest outing producing a second place finish in the Hankook 24 Hours of Dubai in January.

White has also been getting a taste of Ginetta’s prototype racers recently, competing in LMP3 machinery at Estoril last season and then the new G57 last weekend in Barcelona.

“I’m thrilled to be back in the SuperCup this season with a view to defend my AM class crown!” said White.

“Although I am hoping to finish higher in the overall standings, I’m most looking forward to just getting back on track and battling with my old and soon-to-be new friends!”
